Find out how our Home Companions can help you in the home...
Since 2005, we have been supporting NHS hospitals throughout the UK with specialist Dementia Support Workers. We continue to safeguard patients and encourage recovery by promoting patient centred care and therapies in hospitals.
We are a national NHS framework approved supplier ensuring high standards of compliance and governance.
Our Home Companionship service is all about spending quality time together. It is designed to provide support to people in the comfort of their own home, allowing them to remain independent and maintain their usual routines in a familiar environment. We promote dignity and respect through compassionate care by making individuals feel calm and at ease.
Our Home Companions are equipped with creative craft kits and digital tablets, which can be used to play games, listen to music, watch movies or video call family and friends*. We provide one-on-one support centred around developing trust and friendship. Every visit and activity is logged on our digital tablets for family to view at any time.
Our service is both flexible and local. Our clients are in control over when and how time is spent with the Home Companions. We suggest at least two hours per visit, which will allow our clients and Home Companions to establish relationships and routines.
Our Home Companionship service enables people with or without dementia to remain in their familiar home surroundings, while receiving the support and companionship they desire. We tailor our service around the needs of carers and clients, allowing them to share their experiences, personal stories as well as assisting in their daily lives.

Carers and Families Matter...
We understand that it may not always be easy to care for a loved one that lives far away or needs regular support. Our Home Companions support families and carers by providing flexible assistance when it is needed most.
We understand the great benefits that companionship can bring to a person’s quality of life. Companionship helps to promote independence whilst supporting day to day living in the home.
Our Home Companions live locally to our clients, providing a shared knowledge and understanding of the area. Families and carers can feel at ease when their loved one is accompanied by a Home Companion. We report on each visit via our digital tablets, sharing information about the time spent and activities done together.
Knowing that a loved one has a friendly Home Companion and is not alone can reduce worry for carers and families. Our clients’ safety is our uppermost priority and achieved with the support of our Home Companions.
Our Home Companions...
Every Home Companion is hand picked via our in depth selection and training process, designed to ensure they are perfect for our service and our clients. All of our Home Companions have undertaken an enhanced DBS check during the recruitment process to ensure the safety of our clients.
We want all our clients to receive the best possible care and require that all of our Home Companions have at least three years experience. Our staff are selected for their caring nature and desire to look after and bring happiness to everyone they work with.
Our Home Companions have been trained to a high standard via our specialised Dementia Care training, becoming experts at providing exceptional support to individuals, their families and carers. Our training doesn’t stop there. We continually look to develop our staff to ensure that their service they provide is of the highest quality.
With our Home Companionship service, we can help following hospital discharge and provide the right level of support at home to prevent re-admission. Home Companionship is a zero commitment service, giving our clients full control over when they would like companionship.
